HALL OF FAME INFORMATION FOR THE CLASS OF 2025
- Date nominations must be received by: Friday, September 27, 2024 (firchau@sbcglobal.net or Mail to IBCA, P.O. Box 8004, Elburn, 60119)
- IBCA Board of Directors Meeting for the selection of the 2025 Class –Sunday, October 20.
Information needed to make a nomination:
- Correct spelling of candidate’s name. (Maiden name in parenthesis)
- Their address, cell number and email address.
- Picture of the candidate (color preferred) We also need express permission to use this photo in our HOF book and on our IBCA and Basketball Museum of Illinois websites.
- You need to create a resume for your candidate and it should include detailed information.
- For example, if they are a player, we need their high school stats; college stats, their achievements and honors. Also include what years they played (specify graduation year).
- For career coaches and coaches, list the schools they coached at; be specific on the years at each school (ie: 1980-1995, etc.). We will need accurate coaching records for these categories. Indicate in your resume if they were a boys’ or girls’ coach.
- If they split their time between both genders, break it down for us. This is very important for us to properly place each candidate. Remember for a career coach the candidate has had to coach in Illinois for 65% of their total years of coaching.
- For Officials:
- We will need to know specific years for officials that includes state tournament information (years assigned, include assignments for regionals, sectionals, super-sectionals and state finals separately.).
- For Media and Friends: we need to know their contributions, achievements and years of service.
Incomplete resumes will not be forwarded for consideration.
