Mission Statement

Our association of coaches exists to serve, honor, promote, and develop the game of basketball in Illinois through advocacy for and support and celebration of players, officials, media, and fans, and our member coaches.

Membership Benefits/Objectives

The IBCA has been serving basketball coaches in Illinois since 1971. Feel free to contact us anytime with questions or if you need assistance.

  1. Promoting better basketball for the state of Illinois.
  2. Providing a consistent, strong voice for Illinois basketball coaches with the IHSA.
  3. Providing hospitality rooms at our State Tournaments.
  4. Providing multiple coaching clinics and roundtables each year.
  5. Maintaining the IBCA Hall of Fame for Coaches, Players, Officials, Sportswriters, Teams and Friends of Basketball.
  6. Conducting annual Hall of Fame and Coach of the Year Banquets.
  7. Selecting Boys and Girls All-State Teams.
  8. Organizing Boys and Girls All-Star Games.
  9. Developing coaching resources and mentoring tools for Illinois Basketball Coaches.
  10. Maintaining a website for IBCA News, Clinics, Awards and other Coaching Resources.
  11. Providing free membership in the National High School Basketball Coaches Association (http://nhsbca.org).
  12. Individual and organizational recognition for major accomplishments and milestones such as the Coaching Century Club for wins, total school victories, and more.
  13. Providing Digital Membership Cards.

We pride ourselves on our ability to help the coaches of the State of Illinois, with our resources. Whether that is us providing a strong voice for the coaches with the IHSA, or providing teams with the coaching tools and resources to help improve the coaches.
