On Friday & Saturday, March 13 & 14, the IHSA sponsored Special Olympics Unified Basketball State Tournament was at the Athletic Recreational Center on the campus of the University of Illinois. The 8 high school teams that qualified to the tourney included: District 128 Vernon Hills, Limestone Community, Edwardsville, North Boone, St. Patrick, East St. Louis, Bradley Bourbonnais, and De La Salle.
